CELEBRATING A HAPPY HOPPY EASTER
It was time for Easter egg hunts and photos with the Easter Bunny throughout our readership area over last weekend, with plenty of surprises and treats to bring smiles and good times to everyone.
Ozone Park Civic
The Ozone Park Civic Association held their 8th annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Ozone Howard Little League fields. More than 100 kids turned out to hunt for and collect eggs on the fields at the Ozone Howard Little League. After enjoying cookies and drinks supplied by the civic the kids turned in their eggs and got prizes
The Woodhaven Business Improvement District (BID)
The Woodhaven BID kicked off their Spring/Easter Promotion by hosting a number of festivities for children and adults to enjoy. The musical group Plastic Soul was on hand to the delight of passersby at the Forest Parkway Plaza playing a variety of music that encouraged a few dance steps from those strolling along Jamaica Avenue. Others stopped by for free pics with the Man of the Hour—the Eater Bunny himself!
Christ the King High School
Christ the King Community hosted its 2nd Annual Spring Festival and Easter Egg Hunt, where children had the opportunity to meet and take pictures with the Easter Bunny as well as participate in an egg hunt. Fun for the children was also provided indoors with inflatable bouncers, games and treats. Doors were also open to perspective Universal Pre-K parents to learn about the enhanced three- hour program, tour the classrooms and meet teachers.
