Free mammography screenings will be provided later this month in Woodhaven by the American-Italian Cancer Foundation’s Mobile Mammography Program, and will be available at no cost to women age 40 and older who have not had a mammogram in the last year, according to City Councilman Eric Ulrich (R-Ozone Park), who is sponsoring the event.
The free procedures will be performed on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at School Sisters of Notre Dame Educational Center, 87-04 88th Ave., Woodhaven. To schedule an appointment, or for more information, call (718) 738-1083.
