A free safety event was held at Forest Park on Saturday. Residents had the opportunity to receive free blood pressure readings, free bicycle helmets for kids and VIN etching for their vehicles. Assemblyman Mike Miller sponsored the event, and he helped pay for the NYPD’s new VIN etching machine along with State Senators Joe Addabbo and Shirley Huntley, Council Members Elizabeth Crowley and Eric Ulrich, Assembly Members Rory Lancman and former Assembly Member Nettie Mayersohn.
