Children of all ages flocked to the grounds of Our Lady of Grace Church and the Ave Maria Academy for the five day festival that went on despite the threat of rain all week.
Rides, games, food and a wide array of entertainment provided visitors with a fun-filled family weekend.
Entertainment included performances from local dance studios including Fazio, Spotlight Dance Factory, Steps Ahead and Jaydens Dance Center. Local DJ dynamic duo Jack LaSala of Satisfaction Guaranteed and Nicky Guida of 2 PLUS 2 Entertainment provided background sounds that kept the crowd on its feet night after night. The Generation Gap Band, Angelo Venuto and Voices, along with a magician, singers, dancers, clowns and other performers entertained guests throughout the week.
Vendors offered the traditional feast fare including sausage and peppers, zeppole, fried Oreos, gelato and funnel cakes.
Feast organizer Joe DeCandia said the success of the event will do much to help the parish and the school. Next year he says he’s looking forward bring back some of the Old Italian food favorites and traditions his father, Joe Sr. did when he started the original more than three decades ago.
