A potential cab fare on Hempstead Turnpike in Long Island reportedly led to a deadly fight among two cabbies that left a Maspeth man dead.
Nassau County Police said William Mena of Maspeth and Christopher Herron of Jamaica argued over a fare late Friday night. During the altercation, Herron allegedly stabbed Mena multiple times in the torso and left him in a Long Island parking lot.
Police found Mena shortly after midnight where he was pronounced dead.
Herron was apprehended by police and charged with second-degree murder. Mena was a father of two.
Both men worked for Ollie’s Taxi and Airport Service in Franklin Square, Long Island.
