This Sunday marks the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Thousands lost their lives on that infamous day. We must never forget the tragedies of that day, and we should always be thankful for the freedoms we enjoy in this great country.
On Sunday, we should thank and remember our military personnel and the men and woman who serve on the NYPD and FDNY. But we should do that every day as well; these are the people who risk their lives every day to keep us safe.
Be sure to check back with The Forum next week for more coverage of the various events held throughout our communities. If there’s an event, story or remembrance you’d like us to cover, e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 718-845-3221.
