Police are searching for a suspect who attempted to rape a 13-year-old girl last Wednesday afternoon in Forest Park.
According to police, around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, the suspect tackled the girl from behind as she was running on a trail, placed his hands over her mouth and attempted to pull down the victim’s shorts.
The girl screamed and fought off the attacker, who then fled in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a white male with light brown, scruffy facial hair. He’s estimated to be between the ages of 30 to 35, approximately 6 feet tall and weighs between 190 to 220 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, navy blue windbreaker and tan khaki shorts.
