112th Precinct Council Plans Trip And Poster Contest

The 112th Precinct Community Council will host a trip to the 9/11 Memorial in Lower Manhattan to pay homage to the victims of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks, announced Heidi Harrison Chain, council president, and Deputy Inspector Christopher Tamola, precinct commanding officer.

The trip, scheduled for November 16, will take place instead of the council’s usual meeting. The Memorial opened on September 11 this year, 10 years to the date of the 2001 attacks that killed more than 3,000 around the World Trade Center.

Those interested in taking the trip must reserve tickets ahead of time through the community council. There will be free bus transportation to the memorial leaving the 112 Precinct station house, located at 68-40 Austin Street in Forest Hills, at 4 p.m.  Otherwise, they can meet at the 9/11 memorial at 5:15 p.m. on that day.

Tickets are on a first come basis. To purchase tickets on a first come basis, call the 112th Precinct Community Affairs at 718-520-9321.
