3,000-Count Indictment Against Queens Man

A Queens man has been arraigned on a 3,000-count indictment charging him with the possession and promotion of child pornography.

Elvis Infante, 35, of 58-35 Granger Street, in Corona, is charged with 1,544 counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child and 1,544 counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child.

Infante was arraigned this week before Queens Supreme Court Justice Richard L. Buchter and ordered held on $100,000 cash bail or $250,000 bond. He was ordered to return to court on April 16, 2012.

NYPD detectives were notified in Aug. 2010, by the New York Internet Crimes Against Children, about a cyber tip received at the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children that the username 3 S FO R I 7 S Z W O W 7, which was registered to the email address 3SFORI7SWOW7@hotmail, had uploaded 12 images of child pornography to the Ning Social Networking Website. The Ning website had intercepted the images and reported the incident to the NCMEC. The email address was registered to the defendant.

In Nov. 2010, detectives went to Infanteā€™s home and recovered his computer. An initial search recovered 80 images of child pornography.

A further forensic investigation led to the recovery of more than 1,000 images and more than 500 videos of children depicted in a sexual manner or performing sexual acts, which were the basis of the charges in the indictment unsealed this week.
