A motorcycle that was rear-ended by a minivan resulted in a death of one man last Thursday morning, according to police.
The motorcyclist, who was 27 years old, was riding eastbound along Astoria Boulevard close to 90th Street in Elmhurst when his Yamaha motorcycle was hit by the minivan as he switched lanes and came to a full stop, according to police.
After the accident happened, around 6:45 p.m., the man was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and pronounced dead upon arrival.
Cops said that the driver of the minivan, who is 18 years old and was driving a Dodge Caravan, remained at the scene of the accident and no crime is suspected in this incident. The investigation is ongoing.
