Ridgewood Bus Crash Injures 7

Seven people were taken to the hospital when a van rear-ended a school bus carrying 11 pre-kindergarten students in Ridgewood Tuesday morning, officials said.

The van struck the bus just after 8 a.m. at Onderdonk Avenue and Harman Street, an FDNY spokesman said.

From there, seven people were taken to Wyckoff Hospital, although it’s unclear how many of them were students.

The bus was from a private day school, Marge Fienberg, a Department of Education spokeswoman said.

It was headed to the school, called Quality Services for the Autism Community (QSAC) when it was rear-ended.

Fienberg said the students were taken to Wyckoff for observation, were treated and then released.

Parents were also notified, she said.
