City Honors Forest Hills Ambulance Corps’ Service

The Forest Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps held its Annual Awards Night and Installation of Officers on Wednesday, June 20, at the American Legion Post #1424 on Metropolitan Avenue.

In addition there was a special celebration to honor founding member Josephine Bebirian for her 40 years of service to the corps and the community.

Councilman Eric Ulrich presided over the ceremony and swore in the new president, Ron Cohen, as well as the other members of next year’s executive committee.

Cohen takes over as president on July 1, and replaces Alan Wolfe who has served as president for the past four years.

Ulrich also presented Bebirranwith a proclamation from the City Council recognizing her 40 years of service.

City Comptroller John Liu stopped by and presented Josephine with a proclamation echoing the City Council’s thanks.

Liu congratulated the members of FHVAC on receiving the many awards that night and thanked all of the volunteers for their service to the community.
