Ozone Howard's The Renegades
Congratulations to the Ozone Howard Renegades for their huge victory in the NY Travel Baseball Pre-Season Tournament which took place on March 23rd and 24th. The team is a 10-year-old and under Boys Travel team that has been playing together for the last year. The Renegades faced teams from locations as near as Brooklyn and as far away as Connecticut.
The Renegades’ victory came in a nail biter game played at Fort Tilden in Breezy Point which found them down 4-0 in the second inning to the St. Francis Xavier Huskies. But down by four runs the Renegades started their climb back in the fourth inning scoring two runs. Then with their last three outs in the bottom of the sixth remaining, Matt Liberto punched a three run homer out of the park to bring home the winning runs. Also adding to the win was the amazing pitching performance of reliever Justin Schloss who threw a 10 strikeout no hitter!
