Two cops were injured this weekend when they pursued a suspect through the streets on foot after he fled from his home following a domestic dispute report.

Police sources at the 106th precinct say a woman came into the precinct to report the suspect for a domestic violence incident and at the time of her interview with police, informed them that there were weapons in the house and that she believed the suspect was at home.

When detectives arrived at the house they did not find the suspect, but after conducting a search for the weapons, did recover two unlicensed handguns.

Police staked out the house anticipating the man’s return, but when he got back to the house and they tried to arrest him, he fled on foot with police in tow.

After a chase that went had police jumping fences and going through backyards for several blocks, police set up a perimeter around the area and flushed out the unnamed suspect after he hid in a backyard.

He was taken to the hospital to be treated for wounds sustained in the chase and subsequently charged with illegal gun possession.
