An unidentified male was struck by a late model Honda at Rockaway Boulevard and 118th Street on Tuesday evening. Witnesses at the scene, who had been with the teen, said he had been drinking and was under the influence of controlled substances when he entered the intersection. He was transported to Jamaica Hospital where he was in very critical condition at press time.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene and willingly submitted to a Breathalyzer test, which was negative.
