Community advocate and candidate for the state Assembly Dmytro Fedkowskyj announced three endorsements this week from some of Queens’ top education leaders, including Community Education Council for District 24 President Nick Comaianni.
“As a father of four, Dmytro knows the importance of education and has fought for more seats in our overcrowded district,” Comaianni said. “I know that as an elected assemblyman in Albany, he will continue to fight for our community and our students.”
Comaianni joined along with education leaders Jeffrey Guyton and Isaac Carmignani in endorsing their former colleague’s run for the seat currently held by state Assemblywoman Margaret Markey (D-Maspeth).
“Education has been, and will continue to be, a top priority of my public service,” Fedkowskyj said. “For the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of working with Nick Comianni, Jeffrey Guyton and Isaac Carmignani to help improve the quality of education in this Assembly district.”
The district, which covers Astoria, Maspeth, Middle Village, Long Island City, and Woodside, has been Markey’s territory since her election in 1998.
