Assemblyman Phil Goldfeder sponsored a mobile FDNY “smoke house” to educate students about fire safety at PS 232 in Lindenwood Friday.
The legislator joined hundreds of students who crawled through the 35-foot long trailer filled with smoke. The mobile unit was modeled after a typical home and included a kitchen, bath, and bedroom to demonstrate to students how to effectively prepare and evacuate in the event of a fire emergency.
