Cops are searching for a man wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman inside of her Forest Hills apartment building, the NYPD said.

The unidentified man reportedly followed the woman into her apartment building last Tuesday near Queens Boulevard and 76th Road around 7 p.m., where he attacked her from behind and threw her to the ground, police said. He immediately fled the scene, cops said.

The NYPD described him as a 47-year-old man wearing a forwards Yankees baseball cap, a T-shirt and shorts at the time of the incident. He was spotted on surveillance cameras near the scene last week and a sketch was also released of him last week.

The woman was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and treated with minor injuries to her right arm and knee, the police said.

The Police Department asked that anyone with information contacted Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
