The Ozone-Howard Minors Division World Series came to an exciting end Sunday, when the Maroon Team led by Coach Mike Frazzetta, left, edged out Coach John Dezago’s Black Team to claim victory in the two-game series.
Both games were serious nail-biters, going into extra innings and winding up with scores of 1-0. In the bottom of the 8th inning in game two on Father’s Day, Maroon relief pitcher Daniel Rivera’s first pitch led to a triple play that stunned even the coaches.
These two great teams made for a Father’s Day that will be remembered for many years to come. Assistant Coach Peter McNally, second from right, topped off a memorable weekend after being a winning contestant on Wheel of Fortune Friday night.
