Firefighters raced to an Ozone Park home on Saturday night shortly after 6 pm after multiple calls went out for a blaze that started when the propane tank on a barbeque exploded.
The entire deck off the second floor of the home, located at 95-10 101st Avenue was engulfed in flames when FDNY arrived on the scene.
It took 12 units and 60 firefighters about half an hour to extinguish the flames. There were no injuries, the cause of the blaze is officially declared as unknown as of press time and the fire is still under investigation.
