An out-of-control barbecue blaze ended up damaging several 88th Street homes in Woodhaven, but left no one injured, fire officials said.
The Saturday afternoon blaze, which started from an unattended barbecue, ended up erupting behind a home on the Woodhaven street before spreading to the neighboring homes and severely damaging a backyard deck in one of them, the FDNY said. No one was injured and the flames were taken care of quickly, residents living nearby said.
