A Howard Beach man died last Saturday morning shortly after plowing his car through the wall of a popular Ozone Park Chinese restaurant, according to police.
The unidentified man, believed to be in his early 20s, left a suicide note on the passenger seat of the 2004 Chevrolet Malibu, a police source confirmed. The incident occurred around 9:20 a.m., and he was pronounced dead about an hour later at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
According to the source, a witness saw the man drive at a high rate of speed, striking the wall at the rear of Queens Buffet on Atlantic Avenue.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner was investigating to determine the exact cause of death.
