In an effort to combat area refuse issues, City Councilman Eric Ulrich (R-Ozone Park) and the Sanitation Department have secured new, high-end garbage baskets that will be installed throughout Council District 32.
Ulrich and DSNY Commissioner Kathryn Garcia are set to make the formal announcement regarding the 120 sanitation receptacles next Tuesday at a press conference at the intersection of Woodhaven Boulevard and Jamaica Avenue. The 1 p.m. event will also feature community board members, representatives of area civic groups and residents.
