Police Release Security Footage of Woodhaven Restaurant Shooting

Cops this week released security footage of a recent shooting at a Woodhaven restaurant that sent a man and a woman to the hospital.

On Saturday, Feb. 20, a masked gunman burst into Rico Chimi on Atlantic Avenue shortly after midnight and immediately opened fire, striking the 40-year-old male victim—reportedly the intended target—in the leg and hip. The woman, 32, believed to be an innocent bystander, was hit three times.

The suspect then fled the area “in a newer model, red four-door sedan,” according to investigators.

Both victims were transported via EMS to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center: The man was admitted in stable condition, while the woman, who sustained gunshot wounds to her buttocks and leg, and was treated and released.

The individual being sought is described as a Hispanic man, approximately 5-foot-7, 170 pounds, with a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a red mask, a black hooded jacket, black pants and black shoes.
