Cops Ask Public for Help in ID’ing Cross Bay Boulevard Bank Bandit

City Police have asked for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man wanted in connection with the robbery of a Howard Beach bank last Monday afternoon.

According to NYPD accounts, the suspect walked into the New York Community Bank branch at the corner of Cross Bay Boulevard and 156th Avenue around 1 p.m., approached a teller, and then passed a note demanding money. The employee complied and gave the suspect approximately $2,200, after which he fled the location in an unknown direction.

The man was described as white, 25-35 years old, approximately 5-feet-6 inches tall, last seen wearing a red hooded sweater, dark-tinted glasses and gloves.
