Police recently reached out to the communities of Howard Beach and Ozone Park for help in identifying four young men wanted in connection with a string of late-September robberies.

Investigators believe that the suspects, who are usually on bicycles, are responsible for at least four incidents, including a robbery in Frank Charles Memorial Park, during which they swiped the iPhones of two young boys; and the mugging of a 50-year-old woman in Centreville.

There may be more incidents, police said, and there may be even more suspects working with this crew.

“That’s a continual problem that we have,” said Capt. James Fey, commanding officer of the 106th Precinct, “young kids getting involved [in crime] at an early age.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at (800) 577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, (888) 57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit info by logging onto NYPDCrimestoppers.com or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All correspondences are strictly confidential.
