Richmond Hill’s Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens is set to partner with Resorts World Casino New York City for the 13th annual Global Cuisine of Queens tasting event on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at the South Ozone Park casino.
Guests will sample appetizers, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, signature dishes, and specialty drinks from more than 30 of the areas trendiest restaurants, caterers, bakeries, and wineries while helping at-risk youth to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens, and the community leaders of tomorrow, according to BGCMQ CEO John DeCristoforo.
“We are excited about this new partnership with Resorts World Casino,” DeCristoforo added. “Their generosity and support will enable us to grow the event and provide our guests with a new experience.”
In addition to Global Cuisine, Resorts World is also a sponsor of the club’s after-school educational programming, providing a “significant grant” to BGCMQ for the past four years. The club’s initiatives “reinforce and enhance the skills and knowledge young people learn at school each day and provide them with opportunities to spend their non-school hours engaged in fun educational and recreational activities,” DeCristoforo said.
