An attorney who lives and works in Kew Gardens has been sentenced to two years in jail for engaging in sexual acts with two minor females in exchange for money on several occasions in 2012, according to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.

Eyal Katzman was convicted in July on four counts of third-degree criminal sexual act, four counts of third-degree patronizing a prostitute, and five counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

According to trial testimony, the first 16-year-old female victim went to Katzman’s residence three times between September 2012 and October 2012. On the first occasion, the victim was brought to his residence by another teenage girl, who she knew from John Adams High School and who performed oral sex on Katzman while he touched the 16-year-old victim’s breast. Katzman, Brown said, gave both girls cash. On the second and third occasions, according to the district attorney, the 16-year-old victim went to Katzman’s residence, where he performed oral sex on her in exchange for between $100 and $200 in cash.

Brown noted that at trial it was revealed that the second 16-year-old female victim, also a student at the Ozone Park school, was brought to Katzman’s residence by the same girl who brought the first victim to his residence.  Between Oct. 1, 2012, and Nov. 30, 2012, according to trial testimony, the second female victim performed oral sex on Katzman while he performed oral sex on her and the female student watched. Katzman paid $60 in cash to the 16-year-old victim and $20 in cash to the other girl for introducing the victim to him, Brown noted.

Katzman, once an officer of the court, “has proven himself to be a sexual predator,” the district attorney added. “The defendant was convicted at trial of abusing underage girls and as such has been sentenced to a term of incarceration and will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release.”
