Dear Editor,
There is a better alternative to NYC Public Advocate Letitia James’s idea of rerouting every other A train from Lefferts Blvd to the Far Rockaway – Mott Avenue Station for better service to the JFK Airtrain at Howard Beach. Why not bring back the extended E line service which ran express into Brooklyn up until the 1970’s providing supplemental service to the A line during rush hours running beyond Howard Beach to the Rockaways? This would both preserve existing service that Lefferts Blvd riders deserve along with additional service to the Airtrain and Rockaways.
