Springfield Gardens Man Killed in New Year’s Day Hit-and-Run

Cops said the suspect’s red Ford Mustang is damaged on the front passenger side and is missing its passenger-side mirror.

Police on Monday asked the public to help investigators identify the vehicle involved in a New Year’s Day hit-and-run in Springfield Gardens that left a pedestrian dead.

According to an NYPD report, on Sunday around 2:15 a.m., the suspect’s car, travelling eastbound on South Conduit Avenue, struck Thomas Bradley, Jr. as he attempted to cross South Conduit Avenue at Rockaway Boulevard. The suspect did not stop and continued eastbound on the avenue.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the 52-year-old Bradley, Jr. unconscious and unresponsive with severe injuries to his body. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a red Ford Mustang with damage to the front passenger side and its passenger-side mirror missing.
