Police recovered a cache of weapons and drugs after responding to a dispute at a New Hyde Park home last month.
The 105th Precinct Anti-Crime team responded to the residence on Langdale Street near 80th Avenue after a 911 caller observed a man with a gun arguing with a woman. After a brief search of the area the officers located a man fitting the description that was provided by the caller. Further investigation led the officers to make a request for a search warrant of the home. As the Anti-Crime team conducted the search warrant, two men were arrested – including a Richmond Hill resident – and the following weapons and drugs were recovered at the location:
- Bullet proof vest
- Hi-point 9mm hand gun
- Ruger SR9 9mm hand gun with defaced serial number
- Smith & Wesson M&P 40 Cal hand gun with defaced serial number
- Intratec AB-10 9mm fully automatic tech 9
- Smith &Wesson 9mm handgun with defaced serial number
- Davis Industries 22 Cal Derringer
- Springfield 87A 22 Cal rifle
- . 44 Cal revolver
- Winchester I300 12 gauge shotgun
- Mak 90 Sporter 7.62 ak-47
- Remington 710 30.06 Rifle
- 1484 various rounds of live ammunition
