A 51-year-old homeless man has been arraigned on first-degree manslaughter charges after an argument with a teen at an Internet Café turned physical.
Paul Kim, 51 and undomiciled, stabbed 19-year-old Yang Pu Fan in the K&D Internet Café on Union Street in Flushing last Wednesday night between 10 and 10:30 pm.
District Attorney Brown said, “The defendant in this case is accused of fatally stabbing a teenager once in the abdomen during an argument over seating in front of a computer console. Senseless violence such as that which is alleged to have occurred in this case cannot be tolerated. As a result the defendant now faces serious consequences for his alleged actions.”
Kim was arraigned before Queens Criminal Court Judge Toni Cimino on a criminal complaint charging him with one count of first-degree manslaughter. Kim was held on $75,000 bond/$50,000 and will return to court on May 12. He faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
