Area elected officials joined community leaders on Friday for the dedication of the re-planted Pine Forest at Forest Park.
Through funding provided by the Office of City Councilman Eric Ulrich (R-Ozone Park), the Pine Forest, which is located off Memorial Drive overlooking Jackson Pond, has been cleaned up and replanted with many new trees following the devastation of recent weather events including Superstorm Sandy, according to the Richmond Hill Historical Society.
