A Jamaica man has been arraigned on a multi-count indictment charging him with sex trafficking, rape and other crimes for allegedly forcing a then-14-year-old girl into having sex with him on multiple occasions and with various men in exchange for money that he then pocketed, according to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.
Reagan “Flex” Conception, 28, was arraigned on Friday on a 76-count indictment charging him with first- and second-degree kidnapping, first- and second-degree rape, first- and second-degree criminal sexual act, sex trafficking, compelling prostitution, first-, second- and third-degree promoting prostitution, second- and third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He was ordered held without bail.
According to the charges, the then 14-year-old victim was introduced to Conception in September 2016 and was sexually assaulted by the defendant on multiple occasions between the time they met and November 2016. Conception then allegedly forced the victim to engage in prostitution acts during this same time period and physically assaulted her when she did not comply with his demands.
Brown said Conception “is accused of profiting from prostitution by forcing a teenage girl into having sex dates with men for money. I want to stress that prostitution is not a victimless crime and that sex trafficking is an incessant act of brutality and degradation. This teenage girl was finally freed but she will have to live with this horrible experience for the rest of her life.”
Conception, who faces up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted, was ordered to return to court on July 5.
