Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Howard Beach) and State Sen. Joe Addabbo, Jr., (D-Howard Beach), in conjunction with the City Department of Environmental Protection, hosted a successful rain barrel giveaway on Saturday at the New York Families for Autistic Children facility parking lot on Cross Bay Boulevard.
“Rain barrels are one of those amazing free resources,” Pheffer Amato said. “You save money on your water bill whenever you wash your car or water your lawn. It was such a pleasure doing these events with Senator Addabbo and the folks from the DEP, and I want to thank everyone involved. Together, we’ve made sure that hundreds of our neighbors can help the planet and their pocketbooks at the same time. We look forward to doing many more of these giveaways in the future!”
