Key Food representatives, including owner Frankie Almonte (c.), joined elected officials and Howard Beach community leaders on Monday afternoon to celebrate the grocery chain securing an Adopt-a-Highway site in the neighborhood.
“In recognition of efforts to beautify our neighborhood, Key Food has been granted a beautification site to clean and maintain on Cross Bay Boulevard near 153rd Avenue,” Key Food reps said. “Frankie Almonte and his team work and live in the neighborhood. Since opening their first Howard Beach location in 2015, Almonte’s Key Food will begin a long-awaited renovation in July of its second location in Lindenwood.
