Smiles, food, fundraising, and, of course, some ingenious floats on Sunday beat back the gray gloom of ominous clouds as Hamilton Beach marked the end of summer with its annual Baby Parade.
Hosted by the New Hamilton Beach Civic Association, the yearly tradition has become a showcase of inspiration, hard work, and creativity as families come together to build their best floats that compete for prizes.
“The kids all seem to have a wonderful time, but most of all thank you to the community,” said civic President Roger Gendron. “Kudos to everybody who brought donations for Hurricane Harvey relief for the people in Texas. That’s the way for a community to come together to give back to those who had helped us during our time of need after Superstorm Sandy.”
