The New York Families for Autistic Children on Sunday raised thousands of dollars for research at its foundation’s 11th annual Wash for Autism car wash and car show in Lindenwood.
Volunteers scrubbed dozens vehicles in the Queens County Savings Bank parking lot on one side of 153rd Avenue, while owners of souped-up rides competed for prizes in the Sports, Classic, and Luxury categories in the Lindenwood Shopping Center lot on the other side of the thoroughfare.
