Resorts World Casino NYC Set to Host Annual Addabbo Job Fair

Last year, Addabbo’s Job Fair featured 130 vendors and more than 600 applicants.

Resorts World Casino New York City next week will host State Sen. Joe Addabbo, Jr.’s (D-Howard Beach) annual Job Fair.
The employment event is set for Friday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is free and open to the public, Addabbo said.
“One of the best parts of my job as an elected official is helping my unemployed constituents find jobs and providing others with the opportunity to check out different work opportunities,” added Addabbo, a member of the Senate Labor Committee. “My annual Job Fair is intended to bring my constituents directly into contact with possible employers and enable them to learn face-to-face about open positions and career choices.”
The senator noted that more than 120 different employers will be represented at the fair, including private companies, government agencies, not-for-profit groups, retailers, and those providing services in education, health care and many other fields. Job seekers should bring a supply of resumes and are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to speak directly with companies and organizations looking to hire local residents. Addabbo also pointed out that with the holiday season approaching, retailers may be especially interested in hiring workers to address the seasonal shopping rush leading up to Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and New Year’s Eve celebrations.
