Cops Arrest Man in Richmond Hill Rubbing Alcohol Attack

Cabezas allegedly shouted a racist remark as he tossed rubbing alcohol in the victim’s face.

Police on Friday arrested the man who allegedly shouted a racist remark as he tossed rubbing alcohol in the face of a 13-year-old girl in Richmond Hill.
Alexis Cabezas, 34, a Richmond Hill resident, was arraigned on a criminal complaint charging him with second-degree aggravated harassment (hate crime), acting in a manner injurious to a child under the age of 17, and second-degree harassment. According to court records, Cabezas was released on his own recognizance and ordered to return to court in December.
According to police reports, on Tuesday, Oct. 24, around 3:25 p.m., the girl disembarked from the Q10 bus at Lefferts Boulevard and 101st Avenue when she was allegedly approached by Cabezas from behind. When the victim turned around, Cabezas allegedly threw the alcohol in her face and made an anti-white remark. Cabezas then allegedly fled on foot traveling northbound on Lefferts Boulevard heading toward 97th Avenue. The girl sustained burning to her eyes and was removed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where she was treated and released.
