Investigators recently reached out to the public for help in identifying two men wanted for questioning in connection with two dramatic, early morning pharmacy robberies in South Ozone Park and Queens Village last month.
According to police reports, on Wednesday, March 7, around 5 a.m., the two suspects entered the Walgreens on Rockaway Boulevard near Lefferts Boulevard, displayed guns, and forced the employees to the rear of the store. They then gained access to the pharmacy and removed a number of highly addictive medicines with exorbitant street values before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.
Four days later, on Sunday, March 11, around 5 a.m., the men entered the CVS on 89th Avenue and 220th Street. Once again, they immediately displayed firearms and herded the employees toward the back of the establishment before pillaging the pharmacy. They fled on foot in an unknown direction.
There were no reported injuries in either incident, cops said.
The suspects are described as:
Suspect 1: a Hispanic man, last seen wearing a face covering, a black winter coat and blue jeans.
Suspect 2: a Hispanic man, last seen wearing a face covering, a red winter coat and black backpack.
