Hundreds of families on Saturday welcomed the start of a new baseball season at the Opening Day ceremony of the Broad Channel Little League at the Broad Channel Athletic Club Fields.
Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (D-Howard Beach; far r., standing next to City Comptroller Scott Stringer) attended the annual event and marveled at how organizations like the BCLL “teach our children valuable lifelong lessons while having fun. I am looking forward to working with these great organizations and of course watching some baseball/softball games!”
