Man Pleads Guilty to Downloading Child Sex Abuse Videos

An Ozone park man has pled guilty to possessing a sexual performance bya child when he downloaded numerous images of children being abused on his home computer between May 2016 and February 2017.
Luis Ulloa-Rivas, 41, of 93rd Street, plead guilty to promoting a sexual performance of a child before Acting Queens Supreme Court Justice Gia Morris.
District Attorney Brown said, “In pleading guilty, the defendant has admitted to possessing horrid images of girls and boys being sexually abused. These disturbing videos, which the defendant traded on a peer-to-peer network, are for all intents and purposes evidence of actual child sexual abuse. The children are real victims of crimes and will have to live with the emotional affects for the rest of their lives. This defendant will now go to jail as a result of his sick viewing habits.”
According to the charges, law enforcement investigators utilizing a software tool identified the defendant’s computer as one sharing child sexual abuse images on peer-to-peer networks between May 12, 2016, and February 3, 2017. While executing a courtauthorized search warrant to Ulloa-Rivas’ home on May 4, 2017, the defendant admitted he had been downloading videos of adults engaging in various forms of sexual activity with children 10 to 12 and in some instances younger.
Ulloa-Rivas will be sentenced on July 30, 2018, at which time he faces 1 to 3 years incarceration. After his release, the defendant will be required to register as a sex offender.
