Members of the 106th Precinct NYPD Explorers program on Saturday traveled to the Bronx to show support for a fellow Explorer who was recently beaten and stabbed to death in an incident that has garnered national headlines.
The aspiring City cops saluted colleague Lesandro Guzman-Feliz, 15, at a makeshift memorial at the crime scene at East 183rd Street and Bathgate Avenue.
The Explorers program, according to the NYPD, provides young city residents, ages 14 to 20, with an introduction to a career in law enforcement or a related field in the criminal justice system.
