Members of the City Police Department Aviation and Harbor units on Friday rescued two boaters after their vessel struck a raft and tossed them into Jamaica Bay near Breezy Point.
According to the NYPD, the two elite units quickly responded to find the overturned raft and the two injured boaters in the water. NYPD SCUBA divers were deployed from an Aviation Unit helicopter. Officers were able to pluck the injured boaters from the bay and get them medical attention.
