More than 150 prospective employers attended last year’s fair.

State Sen. Joe Addabbo, Jr. (D-Howard Beach) is hosting a job fair next month at Resorts World Casino New York City.
More than 100 companies have confirmed their attendance at the Oct. 5 fair, which has evolved into an annual event for Addabbo and the South Ozone Park casino. Some of the prospective employers include Avon, the City Fire Department, the Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center, MTA NYC Transit, and the State Park Police.
“I encourage everyone who is looking for a job to come out to the job fair and see what companies are hiring,” Addabbo said.“Over the years, many constituents have returned to my office to let me know that they were successful in finding a job at my job fair; and there is no better feeling than that. I would like to thank all of the companies that are participating this year, and to Resorts World for once again opening their space for this great event.”
It is suggested that job seekers come dressed in business attire and have plenty of copies of their resumes to give out to the representatives of the companies on hand.
The job fair is set for Friday, Oct. 5, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Resorts World NYC, located at 110-00 Rockaway Blvd. For more information, contact Addabbo’s district office at (718) 738-1111.
