City Councilman Eric Ulrich (R-Ozone Park) on Friday put his John Hancock on a ceremonial check for $250,000 that he later presented to the Woodhaven Library to fund a temporary space for community residents during the branch’s planned renovations.
“The councilman is laying out money for the future of this library. He has been supportive—not just of this library—but all the libraries in his district,” said Queens President and CEO Dennis Walcott. “[These funds] will help us tremendously and I’d like to thank the councilman for all that he has done for us over the years.”
