Borough Indians marked Holi 2019 with the annual Phagwah Parade along Liberty Avenue, culminating in a celebration featuring the traditional tossing of “abir” – brightly colored powders – at Phil “Scooter” Rizzuto Park in Richmond Hill.
The Festival of Colors is considered as one of the most revered and celebrated jubilees of India, according to the Society for the Confluence of Festivals in India.
