Students and staff at PS/MS 146 may appear to be dressed for rest, but they certainly were not asleep at the “holiday season wheel” and woke up the true spirit of giving back this year.
The Pre-K class of Mrs. Stone initiated a pajama drive for Pre-K and Kindergarten classes at the Howard Beach school for children in need. They collected 64 pair of pajamas that will surely bring smiles to the lucky recipients.
In addition, a school-wide collection was held for soldier care packages, as well as a “Socksgiving” drive for area shelters.
The 146 community recognizes that one of the joys of the holiday season is helping those in need every way possible. The school extends their thanks to all of the parents, students and staff that donated this season!
