A group of like-minded, community oriented volunteers has planned a cleanup of several trouble spots throughout Howard Beach this coming weekend.
“Team Up to Clean Up” is set for Saturday, Sept. 19, at 8 a.m. The group has scheduled a beautification of the Cross Bay Veterans Memorial Bridge, the Joseph P. Addabbo Memorial Bridge, PS 207 Park, Frank M. Charles Memorial Park, Hamilton Beach Park, PS 232 Park, and 165th avenue from Cross Bay Boulevard to 83rd street.
